DETAILED SCOPE AND DESCRIPTION

South Burnett Regional Council proposed to complete pavement rehabilitation works on Harris Road, Kingaroy in September 2021.

The works involved the removal of unsuitable subgrade, repairs of the existing pavement by a 3.2 overlay and stabilisation, and finally reinstatement of the bitumen seal.

ATC Consulting Engineers assisted South Burnett Regional Council with a complete pavement rehabilitation project on Harris Road, Kingaroy in 2021.

This included removal of unsuitable subgrade, rehabilitation of the existing pavement with a gravel overlay and cement stabilisation.

Finally, the bitumen seal was re-instated.

Our involvement included:

• Design, budget and constructability reviews
• Procurement of subcontractors including spray seal and stabilisation works
• Project Management
• Site Supervision and inspections

PROJECT OUTCOMES

The 300m section of road was completed on time and under budget with the guidance of ATC Consulting Engineers.

The project objectives were met by providing improved rideability and safer passage through a flood way.
