DETAILED SCOPE AND DESCRIPTION

South Burnett Regional Council was successful in achieving funding under Round Three (3) of the 2022-2024 Local Government Levy Ready grant program with the works entailing installing a weighbridge with waste measurement software, upgrade of transfer station, operator’s cabin and traffic management infrastructure including civil and road works associated with the reconfiguration at the Council owned Wondai Waste Facility in Wondai.

The Nanango Waste Facility upgrade aim was to enhance operational efficiency, safety, and accessibility by transforming the existing site into a fully functional transfer station.

These projects included the procurement and installation of weighbridge systems, supporting infrastructure, and improvements to waste management areas.

The upgrades will facilitate better waste tracking, regulated site access, and improved environmental compliance.
